Mr. Alfred Windham, age 84 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Alfred was born Thursday, May 22, 1930 in Chidester, Arkansas to Quillie Davis and Etta I. Bingham Windham. He is a Baptist, a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, a life time member of the VFW, and retired from International Paper Company and the West Tree Service. Alfred was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by those that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; David Paul Windham, a brother, Henry Lamar Windham and a grandson; Jonathan Lamar Gober. Alfred is survived by; two sons; Richard Alfred Windham of Hope and Andrew Jefferson "Andy" Windham of Prescott, his daughter; Shari Inscore, husband, Billy of LaVergne, Tennessee and a brother; Quillie Davis Windham, Jr of Ardmore, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, other family members and a host of friends. Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy. 371 West in Prescott, Arkansas. Graveside service will be conducted, 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Brown Cemetery Hwy, 51 South in Beirne, Arkansas by the Chaplain of the VFW. Burial to follow.
