Mr. Allen Erskine, age 94 of Texarkana , Arkansas formerly of Prescott passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Texarkana . Mr. Erskine was born on July 21, 1922 in McGhee , Arkansas to Allen. B. "A.B." and Bertha Jane Willis Erskine, Sr.  He retired from GTE as a telephone repairman with over 30 years of service, had served on the Prescott City Council for 10 years and was a Methodist. Mr. Erskine is preceded in death by his parents and a son, in 1999, Robert Allen Erskine.

Survivors include his wife, of 75 years, Betty Erskine of Texarkana , Arkansas , son; William M. Erskine of Texarkana, AR, a daughter; Mary Jane Lott, husband, Gene of Texarkana, AR, a brother; James E. Erskine of Bentonville, AR, his three sisters; Blondell Kearns of Farmington, MO, Betty Clark of Las Cruces, NM,  and Bobbie Hesterly of Little Rock, AR, four grandchildren: Rob Erskine of Hot Springs, AR, Michael Erskine of Texarkana, AR Crystal Purifoy of Texarkana, AR, and Terri Jo Hoffman of Mabelvale, AR and five great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
