Allen Jefferson Young, Jr. age 70, of Hope, Arkansas. After a long fought battle, Allen passed away at home on May 7, 2023.  He was born on April 9, 1953 in Texarkana, Texas to Allen Jefferson Young Sr and Joyce Marie Simmons Young. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Young of Hope, two sons, Allen Jefferson Young III, and wife Shawna of Genoa, Arkansas , and Randy Allen Young and wife Taylor of Spring Hill, Arkansas, and multiple grandchildren.

Allen grew up with a love of horses.  Summers were spent at racetracks all across the country.  When Allen was old enough he acquired a Jockey's license.  Allen also had a lengthy career in law enforcement. Working as a deputy and police officer brought Allen and his family to Hope, Arkansas in 2007.  Allen enjoyed coon hunting with his boys, camping and fishing with family, and barrel racing.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 10, 2023 5:00PM-7:00PM at Brazzel- Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.  Graveside services will be held Thursday May 11, 2023 at 2:00PM at  Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Texarkana, Arkansas.
