Obituary

Mrs. Allowese Adams Langston was born October 4, 1918 in Ozan, Arkansas. She was the oldest of sixteen children born to Maybelle and Luke Cornish Adams, Sr. Her parents and fourteen of her siblings preceded her in death. Herbert Adams of Prescott and Birthinia Webster of Texarkana are the two surviving siblings. Allowese married Archie Lee Langston, Sr. in December of 1941. Through this union, four children were born: Hazel, Archie Jr. (Brookxie), Jerry(Diana) and James(Michelle). She leaves her four children to celebrate her life through all the wonderful memories she shared. Allowese found great joy in her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Allowese was a long time member of Cothran Chapel CME Church for over 70 years. She loved the Lord, her church, and her family. In her last hours of life, she was asking the Lord to have mercy on her family .
