Mr. Andrew Carl Gladden, age 94, of Gurdon, Arkansas, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mr. Gladden was born in Caddo Gap, Arkansas to Andrew Burton and Carrie Lou Horne Gladden on August 1, 1918. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, owner of Gladden Ford Company in Gurdon for over 20 years and a member a Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; Andrew Andy Carl Gladden, Jr, two sisters; Irene Gladden West and June Gladden Forge, his step brother; Charles Ray Gladden and an infant brother. Mr. Gladden is survived by his wife, of 71 years of marriage, Catherine Russell Gladden of Arkadelphia, two daughters; Jeanie Sarantos of Houston, Texas and Josephine Tweedle, husband, Jerry of Raefield, North Carolina, two step sisters; Ruby Lee West of Caddo Gap, Arkansas and Joy Dent of Redfield, Arkansas, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild other family members and friends. Visitation for Mr. Gladden will noon to 2:00pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon. Funeral service for Mr. Gladden will be 2:00pm, Monday, November 12, 2012 at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon, with Rev. Greg Stanley and Rev. Randy Cox officiating.
