Mrs. Antonia "Toni" Cantu Sumner, 80 of Blevins, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, August 3, 2009, at Lindas home in Hope. She was born in Victoria, Texas on October 27, 1928, to Rogerio and Antonia Canales Cantu. She was a waitress and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Carl Sumner, Jr.; one son, Harvey Lynn Sumner; one grandson, Thomas Carl Sumner IV; and one brother, Tiburcio Cantu. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: One Son: Thomas Carl Tommy Sumner and Ruth, III, Waldo, Ark. Five Daughters: Linda Sumner Bradford, Hope, Ark. Eunice Sumner, Hope, Ark. Rebecca McKamie and Robert, Fulton, Ark. Toni Marie Sumner, Blevins, Ark. Carla Beth Sumpter, Blevins, Ark. One Sister: Sophie Guerra, Refugio, Texas. Special Friend: Marilyn Watson, Hope, AR. Eight Grandchildren: Kellie, John, Sam, Melissa, Jennifer, Jeffery, Heather, and Courtney. And Eleven Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
