Mrs. Barbara J. Groves, age 79 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.  Barbara was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on December 2, 1937 to Maxie Ryan and Erma Lake Ledbetter.  She was a member of the Hope Church of Christ and a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She is preceded in death by her parents Maxie and Erma Ryan, her husband Jerry, a son Charles Groves, a daughter Coleen Groves, two brothers Leo Ryan and Jerry Ryan.

Survivors include three daughters Margaret Groves of Pawcatuck, CT, Carol Almond of Hope and Regina McGregor and husband, Steven of Avery, TX, a brother Larry Ryan and wife Carol of Farmington, AR, her beloved companion Mac, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00pm in the chapel of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Mr. Barry Haynes officiating.  Burial on a later date will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR.  Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
