Mrs. Barbara Gay Johnson Shelton, age 65, of Hope, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Laurel Place in Hope. She was born September 19, 1948, in Prescott, Arkansas to Willie and Mildred Ingersoll Johnson, she was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a circulation clerk for the Hope Star. Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Shelton is survived by her husband of 46 years, Don Shelton of Hope, daughters, Michelle Shelton and Tammy Shelton both of Hope, brothers, Jack Johnson of Chicago, Illinois and Doug Johnson of Boughton, sister, Joyce Boone of El Paso, Texas and two grandchildren.
