Obituary

Deacon Bedie Joe Henderson was born August 24, 1943 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Mrs. Hazel Adams and transitioned to Paradise on December 24, 2016. At an early age, he and his mother moved to Prescott, Arkansas where he attended and graduated from McRae Public School.

He met and married Josephine Hopson on December 17, 1964 and to this union three sons were born. He worked and retired from Firestone Manufactory in Prescott, but did not become a man of leisure, but continued to work diligently as a servant of our Most High God. He united with Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his transition from Earth to Glory. He was a man who worked hard to provide for his family and anyone else that was in need.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, Mother, Mrs. Hazel Adams, his sister, Ernestine Johnson, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dan and Marie Hopson, two brothers-in-law, Dan Hopson, Jr., and Joe Lee Hopson.

Deacon Henderson is survived by his sons; Joe Henderson, Jr. and wife, Phyllis of Prescott, Arkansas, Danny Henderson, wife, Angela of Wichita, Kansas and Larry Henderson and wife, LaShunda of Mansfield, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Rev. Janice Haynes, husband, Herman, Carolyn Hawthorne and husband, Andrew and Ada Graham all of Prescott, Arkansas, three brothers-in-law, Harold Hopson and wife, Erma of Hope, Arkansas, Wallace and Roy Hopson of Little Rock, Arkansas, "special" friends, Mrs. Helen Gulley and Mrs. Patsy Taylor and Mr. Burnett Muldrew and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 5:00pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott. Burial will be in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director. Online guestbook: www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com
