Mr. Ben Cummings Jr. age 92, of Patmos, Arkansas passed away Thursday July 19, 2018, at his home. Mr. Cummings was born in Corbet, Texas, on February 15, 1926, to Ben and Lummie Moncrief Cummings Sr. He was a life long poultry and cattle farmer in which he and his wife Bobbie received Hempstead County Farm Family of the year in 1987. He was a devoted member of Hinton United Methodist Church. Mr. Cummings served his country during World War II in the Philippines while in the United States Navy. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, church and caring for his farm and livestock. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Dave and Johnny Cummings, six sisters, Dorothy Bell, Myrtle Hunter, Kate McGoirk, Bennie Davis, Lillian Huckabee, Sadie Henry and grandson Rusty Cummings.

Survivors include; wife Bobbie Cummings, son Rocky Cummings, wife Paula of Bodcaw, Arkansas, daughter Linda Speer, husband Ron of Hedgeville West Virginia, sister, Lillie Fay Chase and sister-in-law, Jo Cummings. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Michael Speer, wife Anna, Jennifer Speer, Amanda Reeves, husband Chris, four great- grandchildren, Rusti Higgins, Josh Reeves, Jake Speer, Emmie Speer and a host of nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday July 22, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801

Funeral services will be 10:00am, on Monday July 23, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Miller to officiate. Burial will follow in Bodcaw #1 Cemetery.
