Bette Jane (Gran) Townsend, 84, of Spring Hill, AR died Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at her home.

Bette was born September 13, 1940 in Dallas, IA to Kenneth Park and Helen Bachman. She worked many years at Davis Discount Building Materials and B&R Building Supply. She was a loyal member of Spring Hill Christian Church in Spring Hill, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Wilbur Earl (Chunky) her parents, sister Marilyn Willis and brother William E. Bachman.

Survivors include her children, Scott and Dianne Townsend, daughters Beverly Townsend, Krista and Dorsey Askew all of Spring Hill, AR. One sister Sharon Bachman Goldman. Three sister in laws Bobbie Nell Townsend of Hope, Jennie Lee Townsend of Berlin, PA, and Mary Jane Bachman of Portsmouth, VA; Five grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Sunday September 29, 2024 at 4pm at the Spring Hill Christian Church in Spring Hill, AR with visitation and of course, a potluck to follow as per her request. Revel Kidd will be Officiating.
