Mrs. Betty Buffington, age 77 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Mrs. Buffington was born January 21, 1939 in Garland City, Arkansas, to James Bright and Bertha Reasons Huett. She was a member of the Church of Christ and she was a homemaker. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Buffington is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Huett, her husband of 54 years, George Buffington, three brothers; Grover Huett, Tilman Huett, James Huett, and two sisters; Marie Mahaffey, and Nelva Winstead.

Survivors include; three daughters; Debbie Weems and her fiancé, David Peters, of Hope, Arkansas, Joanie Franklin and her husband, Tommy, of Marion, Louisiana, Melissa Harris and her husband, Chad, of Shreveport, Louisiana, four sisters; Josie McBay of Texarkana, Arkansas, Virginia Buffington of Hope, Arkansas, Jimmie Nell Winstead of Pasadena, Texas, Delois Yancey of Pasadena, Texas, eight grandchildren; Dana Miller-Putz, Lori Nivens, Brandon Dougan, Joshue Schmitt, Ashley Dalrymple, Hunter Harris, Hayden Harris, Hannah Harris, eight great-grandchildren; Brock and Bo Dalrymple, Jackson Putz, Landon and Allie Dougan, Jacob and Zack Miller, Justin Nivens, one great-great-grandchild, Trinity Miller, and other family and friends.

The Family would like to thank the staff of Heather Manor Nursing Home and especially two caring nurses, Wendy Hill and Vivian Pearson.

Visitation is 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
