Mrs. Betty Louellen Carlton, age 82 of Bodcaw, AR passed away January 24th 2025. Betty was born March 18, 1942, in Bodcaw to Basil and Hazel Dorman. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Wayne Carlton.

She was a loving and devoted wife of 60 years, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, work in her flower beds, and go on fishing trips with her mother and sisters. One word that everyone seems to use to describe her is "precious". She had a beautiful soul that shined through, and touched everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband Jimmy Wayne Carlton, two sons Jeff Carlton (Starla) and James Carlton of Bodcaw. 3 sisters Dorothy Smittle and husband Doyle, Joyce Richardson, Carolyn Roberts and husband Dennis. 7 Grandchildren Wade Carlton (Amanda), Regan Wakefield (Evan), Elizabeth Carlton, Josh Carlton (Summer), Dylan Carlton, JC Carlton (Emily), and Cora Carlton. 7 great grandchildren Zane and Zoey Carlton, Kinsliegh and Westin Lester, Kamrie and Calan Wakefield, and Braxton Carlton. And a host of nieces and nephews who thought the world of her and loved her dearly.

Visitation will be Thursday January 30, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw.
