Mrs. Betty Jane Grove, 64, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009, in Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. She was born June 28, 1945, in Rock Island, Illinois to Dale Joseph and Arlene Curry Hamerlinck. She was a homemaker and mother and member of Providence Memorial Baptist Church of Perrytown, Ark. She was preceded in death by her mother Arlene C. Hamerlinck; her husband, James L. "Jim" Grove, who died in December 2004. Survivors include: One Son: James Douglas "Doug" Grove, Hope, Ark. One Daughter: Christine Tompkins, Hope, Ark. Her Father: Dale Hamerlinck and Dolly, Milan, Illinois. Two Brothers: Dan Hamerlinck and Sue, Hot Springs, Ark. and Marty Hamerlinck and Audrey, Milan, Illinois. One Sister: Nancy Afeld and Craig, Hot Springs, Ark. One Granddaughter: Taylor Tompkins, Hope, Ark. And several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2009, Providence Memorial Baptist Church, Perrytown, Arkansas, with Rev. James Honeycutt and Mr. Scott Afeld officiating.
