Mrs. Betty Howell, 66, of Cerritos, Calif., (formerly of Prescott, Ark.) passed away on Mon., Sept. 10, 2007 at her home. She was born on March 19, 1941, in Prescott, Ark. to the late Rev. Oscar and Ola Flemons Hopson. She graduated from Mcrae High School in 1959 and attended Los Angeles City College. She retired from Shumann Manufacturing Company. She joined the Paradise Baptist Church in Los Angeles, Calif. She married Cleodis Howell, December 25, 1973. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: (She leaves to cherish his memory) HER HUSBAND: (of 33 years) Cleodis Howell, Cerritos, Calif. ONE SON: Michael Howell, Santa Monica, Calif. ONE DAUGHTER: Deborah Charles and Emanuel, Prescott, Ark. ONE STEP-DAUGHTER: Regina Foster and Carlos, Grand Prairie, Texas. FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Bryan Joseph, Pine Bluff, Ark.; Brandon Charles, Prescott, Ark. Taaja Foster, Taelear Foster, and Thailer Foster all of Grand Prairie, TX. TWO GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTERS: Kaley and Kyla, both of Pine Bluff, Ark. FIVE BROTHERS: Steve Hopson and Juanita, Compton, Calif.; Herman Hopson and Juanita, Prescott, Ark.; Homer Hopson and Edna, Waldo, Ark.; Odell Hopson and Carol, Compton, Calif.; AND Napoleon Hopson, Prescott, Ark. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sat., September 15, 2007, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Fred Walters officiating.
