Mrs. Betty Ruth Williams Jones, age 89 of Gurdon, Arkansas, passed away Saturday March 20, 2021 at her home. Her story began in the Sycamore Community of Missouri Township, close to Gurdon. She passed from this life at home. She was the daughter of Mr. Cecil Raymond Williams and Donnie Lee Crosslin Williams. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, and her four siblings: Bill, Francis, Virginia, and Perry Don. Furthermore, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Chester Jones.

She is survived by her children: Gary Lee Jones (Brenda) of Carthage, Texas, and Alaine Carol Jones of Gurdon. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Scott Powell, Rodney Hurst, Summer Maines and Adam Jones. Furthermore, she is survived by three great- grandchildren: Kenslee Maines, Kelby Maines and Caroline Hurst.

She was a homemaker, nurse and a caregiver to her mother. She devoted her life to her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gurdon. She was affectionately known to her family as "Grannie" when she was able, she loved tending to her yard and her flowers. She will be missed especially by her namesake, Caroline Ruth.

Family Visitation will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm Tuesday March 23, 2021, at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home. The funeral service immediately thereafter with Bro. Donnie Deaton officiating.
