Mrs. Betty Rook, age 87 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Saturday April 10, 2021, in Hope. Betty was born on November 6, 1933, in Slate Shoals, Texas, to Bruce and Cora White Rothwell. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, manager of the original "Tabs Cupboard" in Hope and a longtime volunteer at the Charitable Christian Medical Clinic. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doy Rook, daughter Lori Jones, brothers, Jimmy, Herbert and Lloyd Rothwell, sister, Adie Mae Rothwell Coslin, grandchildren, Jay Rook, Kent Cox and Jade Cox.

Survivors include: sons, Dr. Jim Rook (Vickie) of Midlothian, Texas, Phil Rook (Suzie) of Yellville, Arkansas, Billy Rook (Michaele) of Hope, Arkansas; daughter, Tracy Talley (Glen) of Texarkana; sister, Juanell Rook, Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Larry Rook, Lloyd Rook, Justin Rook, Troy Rook, Brian Rook, Amanda Rook Gonzalez, Emily Rook Smith, Whitney Rook, Courtney Rook; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday April 12, 2021, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801

Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday April 13, 2021, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest with Bro. Larry Byers and Bro. Jay Pollan officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
