Mrs. Betty Sue Vess Hanson, age 67, of Perrytown, Arkansas, passed away, Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her home. She was born September 18, 1946, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Roe and Ethel Currin Young. Mrs. Hanson was a self employed Beautician and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, but most of all her greatest passion was taking care of her family and her church. Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Vess, and son, Russell Gaither. Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband, Chuck Hanson of Perrytown, daughter, Jeri Freeman and husband Tim of Hope, brother, Ronnie Young and wife Judy of Arkadelphia, sister, Diana Kiser and husband Ricky of Weiner, Arkansas, uncle Al Currin of Ft. Worth, Texas, her aunt, Sue LaRue of Ft. Worth, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Hanson will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, July 11, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mrs. Hanson will be 10:00am, Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro.
