Mrs. Betty Jean Wright, age 86 of Hope, Arkansas, went to be with our lord surrounded by family, Sunday, November 24, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas. Betty was born September 18, 1933 in Imboden, Arkansas to Cecil M. Bittle Sr. and Grace Verser Bittle. Betty grew up with her parents in different locations with her father being an ag teacher and the former director of UofA Experiment Station of Hope. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a founder of Wright's Greenhouses in the Rocky Mound Community. Betty was a long-time member and organist of forty years for Calvary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thurman Wright, and brother Cecil "Dick" Bittle Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Mark Wright wife Misty of Texarkana, TX, Brad Wright wife Suzie Springdale, AR, Doyle Wright wife Shawn of Westfork, AR, seven grandchildren, Kyle Wright, Amy Simmons, Jackie Grant, Hayden Wright, Grace Wright, Stephanie Wright, Sarah Bramall, nine great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church 1301 West Ave. B Hope, Arkansas 71801 and Hospice of Texarkana 2407 Galleria Oaks Dr. Texarkana, TX 75503.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Street Hope, Arkansas.

Funeral Service will be 10:00am, Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Neathery and Bro. Terry Wright officiating. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens in Hope.
