Mrs. Billie J. Cooper Honea, 82 of Dayton, Texas formerly of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, September 30, 2011, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, Texas. Mrs. Honea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 32 years; Fred W. Honea, Sr., a son, Donnie Garrett, grandson; Joshua P. Honea and seven brothers and sisters. Billie was born July 4, 1929 in Prescott, Arkansas to Thomas A. and Zula L. Nolen Cooper. She is a former resident of Baytown, Texas and has resided in Dayton, Texas area for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening and singing. She is survived her sons: Jerry Garrett, wife, Nina, Fred W. Honea, Jr.,wife Jennifer all of Arizona, daughters: Susan LeBlanc, companion, Kenneth Perdue and Sandra Honea all of Dayton, Texas, her brother; Joe Cooper of Arkansas, nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Union Grove Cemetery in Blevins, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
