Mrs. Billie Doris Ridling, age 85 of Prescott, passed away, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Prescott, Arkansas. Mrs. Ridling was born October 22, 1929 in Texas to Hobert Curtis and Willie Maxine Derrick McClain. She grew up in West Texas, graduating from Big Spring High School. She was a school teacher for Emmet, Blevins, and overseas in Saudi Arabia. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church for over 56 years. She was very active and devoted to her church. She loved to travel abroad and she visited many foreign countries. Mrs. Ridling is preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Willie McClain, and her husband of 42 years, Fred Ridling Jr. Survivors include; one son, Johnny Coleman Ridling of Amity, Arkansas, three daughters; Terri Vandiver and her husband, Ronnie, of Prescott, Arkansas, Rhonda Hillery and her husband, Jerry, of Prescott, Arkansas, Kim Jester of Prescott, Arkansas, one brother, Mike McClain and his wife, Cindy, of Houston, Texas, one sister, Frances Swift of Prescott, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00-8:00pm, Friday October 9, 2015 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service is 2:00pm, Sunday October 11, 2015 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Puckett, Bro. Neal Ridling, and Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in the Redland Community.
