MR. BILLY JOE BILL ARNETT, SR. 76 of Emmet, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at his home. He was born in Nevada County, Arkansas on September 14, 1933, to Sidney and Beulah Lee Fugett Arnett. He was a retired corrosion technician with Arkla/Centerpoint Energy having had 30 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Emmet, Ark. He was a Army Veteran; member of the Emmet Volunteer Fire Dept; Emmet City Council for 20+ years; and member of the Police Auxiliary. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Robert and Bobby Joe Arnett; and one granddaughter, Meagan Arnett. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 48 years) Jo Ann Powell Arnett, Emmet, Arkansas One SON: Billy Joe Arnett, Jr. and Melanie, Emmet, Arkansas ONE DAUGHTER: Carrie Adams and Tommy, Emmet, Arkansas One Brother: Edward Lee Arnett and Betty, Mesquite, Texas THREE SISTERS: Betty Sue Johnson and Selby, Mesquite, Texas Henrietta Lamb and Jerry, Delight, Ark. Carolyn Caver and Billy, Texarkana, Ark. SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Josh Clayborne; Mary Ann and Gary Powell, Jr.; Heather Berryman; Stephen Arnett; Timothy Arnett; and Alex Peek. One Great-Grandson: Jesse Colt Powell And Several Nieces and Nephews, other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2009, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Rev. Johnny Jackson officiating.
