MRS. BIRDIE LEE SIMMONS BROWN, 91, Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Ark. She was born on November 2, 1918 in Willow, Ark to Ellie Simmons and Myra Bullock Simmons. She was a retired owner/manager of Browns Apartments and Grocery Store, Hope and formerly a lumber grader. She was a member of New Life Church, Hope, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Marcus Overton and George H. Brown; by one son, Horace Edward Overton and by one sister, Eva Langley. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: TWO SONS: Bobby Charles Overton and Boydine, Branson, MO. Tommy R. Overton and Bess, Hope, Ark. ONE DAUGHTER: Nancy C. Brown Gatto and Joseph, Frankfort, ILL. ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN : Michael A. Gatto and Nancy, Ronald J. Gatto and Susan, Karen M. Olszowka, Kimberly A. Anderson and Allen; Holly Williams and Don, Angel Brown and Anthony, Tommy Overton, Jr. and Jennifer, Tara Stevens and Todd; Trudy Lambert and Bobby, Rhonda Miller and Brandon and Amy Lee McCoy and John. and SEVENTEEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13,2009, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Craig Adams officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Hope, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas. FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS: Monday, January 12, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas.
