Mr. Bob Massingill, 85 of Hope passed away, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Hope. He was born in Hamilton, Texas on, Sunday, November 27, 1927 to Ira and Jewell Winters Massingill. Mr. Massingill was a Army Veteran of World War II and retired from the Arkansas Highway Police as a Lieutenant. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and served as an active deacon at Unity and New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hope for over 34 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; Foy Dale Massingill, his brother; Foy McMahan and sister; Tommie Brown. Survivors include; his wife of 61 years, Lena Irene Clover Massingill of Hope, daughter; Glenda Ann Burkham, husband, Wesley of Hope, two grandchildren; Paige Burkham Ray and Cody Burkham and also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, April 12 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral will be 10:00am, Saturday, April 13 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Chapel in Hope.
