Bro. William Glen Cannon, 87 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Arkansas. He was born June 23, 1922 to William Foster and Mary Florence Ferguson Cannon. He was a retired minister. He was a Mason, member of Whitfield Masonic Lodge # 238, F & A.M. and a member of Providence Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Ark. He was a minister for 54 years and organized 3 churches and substituted at various others over the years. He pastored at Forest Hills at Laneburg and Antioch; Rocky Mound, New Liberty, Union Baptist at Bodcaw; Temple in Murfreesboro; Grace at Bingen; County Line at Nashville; Ole Time at De Queen; Mountain View at Umpire; New Hope at Junction City, Arkansas; New Shiloh at Mineral Springs; Riverside at Fulton; Antioch at Nashville; He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lois Jones Cannon; one sister, Juanita Mayton. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS DAUGHTER: R. Gail Cannon Eiden and Bryan, Hope, Ark. Three Grandchildren: Matthew Cannon Willis and Jodi, Hope, Ark. Samantha Smith and Chris, Honolulu, Hawaii.
