MR. BROOKS COLLINS, 77, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. He was born October 25, 1930, in Spring Hill, Ark. to Robert Roy and Mary Turner Collins. He was retired from the Arkansas State Livestock and Poultry and was also a cattle, sheep and poultry rancher. He was a member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church and had served on various committees there over the years. He was a former member of Hempstead County Cattlemans Assoc.; Hempstead County Farm Bureau; former Spring Hill School Board member and an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Marion Taylor Collins; by two sisters, Ernestine Souter and Louie, Mina Shipp and Melvin; and by two brother-in laws, Bob McDowell and Chester Hunt. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: ONE SON: Roy Collins and Donna, Spring Hill, Ark. ONE DAUGHTER: Mary Louise Harrison and John, Spring Hill, Ark. THREE SISTERS: Juanita Hunt, Hope, Ark. Marilyn McDowell, Spring Hill, Ark. Patty Sue Turner and Lloyd, Spring Hill, Ark. SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Stacie Herron, Robert Cody Collins, John Harrison, Jordan Mitchell, Kate Collins, and Brooke Anne Collins. ONE GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Addison Herron, Hope, Ark. TWO SISTER-IN-LAWS: Norma Nell Ward, Hope, Ark. Bobbie Foster and Earle, Arlington, TX. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Ron Eldridge officiating.
