Obituary

Bro. Buddie E. McKamie age 80 of Emmet, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Texarkana. Bro. McKamie was born on Saturday, March 24, 1934 in Spring Hill, Arkansas to William Allison and Clemie McNatt McKamie. Bro. McKamie was a Southern Baptist Minister for over 42 years, ministering churches; New Mount Zion Church in Nashville, Mineral Springs, Unity Baptist Church in Nashville, Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw, Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Rosston, Laneburg Baptist Church in Laneburg and New Liberty Baptist Church in Emmet. Bro. McKamie is a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Emmet and a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, his five brothers; Jim, Willie, I.J., and B.A. McKamie, his two sisters; Effie Mae Long and Maddie Griffis. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Margaret Carol Jones McKamie, his son; Reganald Keith Hickey of Avon, Indiana, daughter; Kristen Leigh Hodges, husband, Chad of DeAnn, five grandchildren; Taylor Hodges, Shaleigh Hodges, Courtney Hickey, Skylar Hickey and Whitney Hickey, other family members and a host of friends. Visitation for Bro. McKamie 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Monday, August 25 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service will be 10:00am on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery with Bro. Lane Garner officiating.
