Burnett Jackson, affectionately known as "Unk", transitioned from this life into the next on February 2, 2024, at the age of 74. He was a military veteran known for his sense of humor and warm smile  Like a true soldier, he fought the good fight until the end.

He was born to the late Dan Jackson, Sr. and Audrey Conway Jackson as the 8th out of 12 children.  Born and raised in Prescott, Arkansas, he attended the McRae School and graduated in 1967. He was drafted into the army during the Vietnam conflict and served his country with honor in the military, embodying courage and dedication throughout his service. Burnett's commitment to his country was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends. Burnett was a beloved member of the community and worked for the City of Prescott for 27 years.

Burnett will be fondly remembered for his infectious laughter and his ability to light up any room with his big smile. He had a knack for finding humor in even the most challenging situations, bringing joy to those around him.  He lived his life freely and on his own terms.  He was fiercely independent and worked tirelessly – rarely missing a day!

As a mentor, Burnett touched the lives of many with his wisdom and kindness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement to those in need. His legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Dan Jackson, Sr. and Audrey Conway Jackson, his siblings:  Barbara Sue, Evelyn Lavonne, Baby Mary, Helen Sue, Leroy, Brenda, and Melvin Eugene

Burnett is survived by his siblings, Dan Jackson, Jr. (Virgie) of Memphis, TN, Jo Marie Bragg of Arkadelphia, AR, Junior Lee Jackson of Prescott, AR, Linda Dixon of Prescott, AR, and his favorite niece Ora "Malasena" Witherspoon of Texarkana, TX. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, and a host friends, and loved ones.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in love, Burnett. Your laughter and kindness will forever echo in our memories.

Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday February 10, 2024, at Brazzel Cornish Chapel with Reverend H.L. Box, Sr. officiating.
