Obituary

Mr. Carl Lee Ray, age 67 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Ray was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on March 29, 1947 to Earl Lee and Lucille Beatrice McGuire Ray. He was a retired forklift mechanic and operator for Firestone, a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War and he was of the Christian Faith. He was a member of the Prescott Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8671 for 30 years and was a past Commander of the Post. He was also a mason and past union president at Firestone. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Teri LeAnn Ray, a brother; Dean Ray, a sister; Earlena Ray, a grandson; Houston Hatcher. Survivors include his wife; Mary Ray of Prescott, son; Rick Hale, wife Kami of Houston, TX, daughters; Paula Bodden, husband, Stewart of Bossier City, LA and Donna Randolph, husband, James of Tulsa, OK, two sisters; Darlene Freeman of Hot Springs and Maureen Herrin of Arkadelphia, four grandchildren; Christopher DiBartolo, Michael Nichols, Ruben Hatcher and Logan Hale, and great-granddaughter; Gianna DiBartolo and sister-in-law, Pat Ray, other family members and friends. Visitation; 4:00 to 6:00pm, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Funeral service for Mr. Ray, 2:00pm, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ivory Curry officiating.
