Mrs. Carla Sue Massey Stewart, age 51 of Hope, passed away, Monday, August 11, 2014 at her home in Hope. Carla was born on Monday, October 15, 1962, to Carl and Anna Laura Braden Johnston in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Carla was a Para Professional with the Clinton Primary School in Hope and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Emmet. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, that devoted her life to her children; Trey and Taylor and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Carla is preceded in death by her, father, Carl Johnston. She is survived by her husband, Carl Stewart of Hope, her son; Trey Massey, wife, Amber of Hope, daughter; Taylor Massey of Hope, her mother, Anna Laura Johnston of Arkadelphia, brother; Ed Johnston of Arkadelphia, two sisters; Linda Kay Wright of Arkadelphia and Patricia Eismann of Leavenworth, Kansas; three grandchildren; Anna Michelle Massey, Ashlyn Lane McKamie and Carter Ray Thornton and "special" niece, Sherrie Francis Moder, other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been set-up at Bancorp South in Memory of Carla Massey Stewart in c/o of Taylor Thornton Massey. Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service for Mrs. Stewart will be, 2:00pm, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Burial to follow in Evening Shade Cemetery in Spring Hill with Bro.
