Mrs. Carol Joy Harvin, age 86 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas. She was a homemaker and of the Nazarene faith. She was born in Watonga, Oklahoma on September 14, 1929 to William L. and Rosie Mae Avants DeArman. She enjoyed playing dominos, and loved to cook. She was a member of the Red Hat Lady's Club of Heather Manor Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harrell Dinton Harvin, a son; Ronald Wayne Harvin, brothers; Pete, Tilton and Tim DeArman, sisters; Dora Deckert, Fannie Bieghler, Flora Martin, and Wilma Goodner.
Survivors include; two daughters; Dianne Simmons of Hope, Victoria Clevenger, husband, Clarence of Jefferson, Texas, brothers; Billy DeArman of Walnut Grove, Missouri and David DeArman of Patmos, Arkansas, three sisters; Velvie Schroader of Patmos, Wanda Kelser of Lompoc, Calif., and Paula Kay Mahe of Rogers, her eight grandchildren: Roger Simmons, Billy Harvin, Dinton Simmons, Heath Harvin, Jeffrey Clevenger, Jonathan Clevenger, Carrie Anderson and Shannon Hawthorne, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, December 11, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
