Mr. Carrol R. Messer, 72 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, September 24 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was born August 1, 1939 in Nevada County, Arkansas to Alfred and Margaret Louise Priecy Messer. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope, had served in the Arkansas National Guard and was a retired salesman for Lance Company. He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Wade Hargis. Mr. Messer is survived by his devoted wife, Janell Robinson Messer of Hope, his son and daughter-in-law, Tony Ray and Trish Messer of Rosston, his two daughters; Pam Adkins of Ashdown and Dana Hargis of Hope, two grandchildren; Trent Messer and Drake Hargis. Family to receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, September 26, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Graveside service, 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Snell Cemetery in Emmet.
