Mr. Carroll Gene Martin, 67, of Gurdon, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 23, 2009 at a Hot Springs Hospital. He was born October 18, 1941, son of the late Robert Lloyd Buck and Hattie Sue Langley Martin. He was a married to Doris Wingfield Bradley Martin. He was an Arkansas State Forest Ranger, School Bus Driver and member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Donald Martin of Bossier City, Louisiana. Pallbearers are Gurdon School Bus Drivers. Survivors include: His wife: (of 16 years) Doris Martin, Gurdon, AR. One daughter: Stephanie Syler and James, Texarkana, AR. Two Step-Daughters: Terrie Bruner and Ray, Wallas, MS. Alisa Bonds, Hot Springs, AR. Three Step-Sons: Tony Bradley and Vicky, Cabot, AR. Edward Bradley and Shanna, Gurdon, AR. Ken Bradley and Kathy, Hernando, MS. Three Sisters: Willene Niper and Charles, Cabot, AR. Margaret Lee, Gurdon, AR., Ruthell Smith and T. J., Gurdon, AR., Brother Glen Martin and Joann, Hot Springs Village, AR., Two Sister-in-laws: Mary Martin, Bossier City, LA. Gwenda Norwood, Hot Springs, AR. and Thirteen Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Center Grove United Methodist Church, near Gurdon, Arkansas, with Rev. Rick Wilkens officiating.
