MR. CARROLL DAVID MOREHEAD, 86, of Prescott, Arkansas. He passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab, Prescott, AR. He was born on January 18, 1922 to John William and Ollie Lillian Ward Morehead. He was a wholesale grocery salesman who had owner and operated two grocery stores, one from 1950 to 1961 called Waterloo Grocery Store in Waterloo, Ark. and the other from 1963 to 1987called Carrolls Grocery and Market in Prescott, Ark. After his retirement he then served as Prescott/Nevada County Veterans Service Officer for 15+years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Prescott, Arkansas; a Army Veteran of World War II; a member of the American Legion and member of Prescott V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Vera Louise Bailey Morehead, who died in 2005; and by one brother, Bruce Morehead. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: ONE SON: Ronald David Morehead, Springtown, TX. ONE DAUGHTER: Anne Gautsche and Sandy, Bedford, TX. THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Melissa Morehead Booth-Simonsen, Tulsa, OK Hannah Gautsche, Bedford, TX. Sam Gautsche, Bedford, TX. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
