Mrs. Cathy Sparks, age 63 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.  Cathy was born in Hope, Arkansas on November 19, 1953 to John and Georgia Carlton Herr.  She was a home maker and of the Baptist faith. Cathy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, who cared and loved her family.  Besides taking care of her family, Cathy's hobby was bowling.  She is predeceased by her parents; John and Georgia Herr and a sister; Barbara Beeman.

Survivors include; her husband of 44 years, Harold Sparks of Hope, two sons; Dennis Sparks, wife Carissa of Aztec, New Mexico and John Sparks, fiancé, Edith of Denver, Colorado, her brother; Mike Herr and his wife, Linda of Perrytown, her sisters; Linda Carroll, her husband, Mickey of Hooks, Texas, Jackie Langston, her husband, Jim of Hope and six grandchildren: Meghan Faith Sparks, Tony Sparks, Colton Sparks, Weston Sparks, Jordan and Leslie, and other family members and friends.

Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Friday, April 28, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Tropp officiating.
