Mr. Charles R. "Gary" Kalba, 84, Prescott, Arkansas, passed away at Baptist Health Hospital, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was born in White Plains, New York on July 16, 1924 to Charles and Clara Marie Potter Kalba. Mr. Kalba was an appliance repairman; member of Emmet United Methodist Church; a Navy Veteran of World War II; a recipient of the Bronze Star and a Combat Action Medal, member of U.S. Sub Veterans of WWII; D.A.V; V.F.W. of Prescott, Ark.; and American Legion member. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile Katherine Kalba, who died in January 2004. His survivors include: Two Daughters: Katherine Ann Kathy Stephenson, Prescott, Ark. Karen Morrow, Hope, Ark. Seven Grandchildren: Anne Williams and Christopher; Kyle Beebe and Jennifer; Katy Revels and Kevin; Chris Stephenson; Jennifer Patykiewicz and Caz; Mikki Brown and T.J.; Karen Phillips and Joe; Six Great-Grandchildren: Kathrine, Shawn, Micayla, Koby, Kailey, Joe. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2008, at the Brazzel/ Cornish Funeral Home Chapel,Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
