Mr. Charles G. McCants, age 76 of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home in Gurdon. Mr. McCants is a native of Prescott, Arkansas being born there on September 22, 1941 to William Chester and Gladys Marie Stalcup McCants.  Mr. McCants is a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Army with over 18 years of service to his country. He had also been a City Police Officer for Texarkana, Texas and had owned and operator three service stations and was of the Methodist faith.  Mr. McCants is preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Coy McCants, three sisters Bessie D. Hutchinson, Lera Mae Huskey and Florence M. Tucker.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Marian McCants of Gurdon, a son Charles Gary McCants (Becky) of Frisco, Texas, a daughter Sherri Lynn Shoults of Heber Springs, AR and two grandchildren Sean and Mitchell, other family members and friends.

Visitation for Mr. McCants will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from noon till service time at the First Presbyterian Church of Gurdon (Main St.).

Funeral service, 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Gurdon with Bro. Rusty Jones officiating.
