Mr. Charles William Jody Stivers, 71, of Buckner, Arkansas, (formerly of Murfreesboro and Prescott, Arkansas) passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010, at his home. He was born July 15, 1939, in Prescott, Arkansas to Oscar Theodore and Grace Niemeyer Stivers. He was retired from Tyson Foods. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Betty Rene Stivers Tankersley, one brother Ted Stivers and two sisters Bettie Niemeyer and Dorothy Niemeyer. His Survivors Include: His Wife: (of 50 years) Lavern Malone Stiver, Buckner, Arkansas. Two Sons: Richard Stivers and Becky, Murfreesboro, Arkansas; Eldon Stivers and fiance Cathy, Nash, Texas. One Daughter: Darla Stivers, Camden, Arkansas. Three Sisters: Mary Page, Cleveland, Texas; Opal Woolley, Livingston, Texas; Julia Parnell and Ed, Pennsacola, Florida. One Sister-In-Law: Barbara Stivers, Burkburnett, Texas. And Ten Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, Arkansas, with Rev. Billy Joe Christopher and Rev. Ricky Burke officiating.
