MR. CHARLIE F. RHODES, 70, Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at his home. He was born on Sept. 16, 1937 in Cale, Ark., to Cecil (Bob) and Mildred Otwell Rhodes. He was a retired employee of Red River Army Depot in Texarkana. He was a Baptist; an Air Force Veteran and a Navy Sea Bee Veteran; and had a great love for music. He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Grady J. and Thomas Dale Rhodes and one sister, Ann Brzeski. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: Claudie Phillips, Texarkana, Texas. ONE SON: Bryan Poier, Texarkana, Texas. THREE BROTHERS: John Cecil Rhodes and Bobbie, Wellington, Texas. Jimmy Rhodes and Judy, Rosston, Ark. Arthur Rhodes and Kimberly, Prescott, Ark. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Friendship Cemetery, Cale, Ark., with Rev. Jimmy Teeter officiating. Burial will follow.
