Mr. Christopher Michael Chris Vandiver, 40 of Prescott, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012. Chris was born September 27, 1971 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Michael Wayne Arney and Ruth Ann McAteer Vandiver. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott. He is preceded in death by his wife Carrie Webb Vandiver, one brother Timmy Vandiver, Paternal grandfather Artie Arney and maternal grandparents Bill and Dorothy McAteer. Chris was a loving Family man which included the center of his life Izzy. He was an Avid sports fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys were at the center of his life every Sunday of football season which he and Izzy wore a Dallas jersey and tried to coach them to victory. If you did not know better You would have thought Chris and Izzy were a part of the coaching staff. Survivors include one daughter; Chelsea Vandiver of Prescott, sister; Amber Arney Burdett, husband K.B. of Maumelle, Arkansas, his father; Bobby Arney, wife Anna, his mother; Ann Vandiver, husband Duane, all of Prescott. his paternal grandmother; Opal Arney and his beloved companion Izzy also of Prescott. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday, September 16,2012, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Funeral service for Mr. Vandiver 10:00am, Monday. September 17, 2012 at Brazzel/Cornish.
