Mrs. Christine Garrett Childers, 91 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Medical Park Hospital. Mrs. Childers was born May 10, 1918, in DeAnn, Arkansas to Jasper Newton and Ada Leeana Hartsfield Garrett. She was a former retail clerk for Rephans Department Store of Prescott, Arkansas. Mrs. Childers was a member of Central Baptist Church of Prescott, Arkansas. She taught Sunday School and formed the Ladies Fellowship Luncheon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C. J. Childers; and one son, Johnny M. C.J. Childers. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: One Daughter: Kaye Childers Wesson and Lonnie, Prescott, Arkansas. Three Grandchildren: Jamie Howell, Hope, Arkansas, Amy Ward and Joe, Mesquite, Texas, April Cummings and Jeff, Prescott, Arkansas. Three Great-Grandchildren: Megan Ward, Mesquite, Texas, Katie Cummings and Holly Cummings, Prescott, Arkansas. One Special Friend: Mary High, Texarkana, Arkansas, and many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2010, at Central Baptist Church of Prescott, Arkansas, with Rev. Tom Mitchell and Rev. Perry Johnson officiating.
