Mrs. Christy Louise Powell, age 49 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home. Christy was born March 25, 1971 to James and Betty Webb Powell in Searcy, Arkansas. She was of Christian faith and worked as dispatcher for Old Castle Lawn and Garden. Christy was a sweet person; always smiling. She will be dearly missed by many. She is preceded in death by her father, James E. Powell, one sister, Lisa Crowe and mother-in-law Margaret Powell.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Mark Powell; mother, Betty Powell of Hope, AR; two sons, James Anthony Powell (Megan Abigail) of Hope, AR, Mark Whitfield Powell (Summer) of Hope, AR; two adoptive sons, Rodrea Jones of Forman, AR and Edward Hurt of Hope, AR; one brother, Randy Powell (Patti) of Hope, AR; one sister, Cathy Brown (Billy) of Hope, AR; sister-in-law, Karen Powell of Hope, AR; four grandchildren, Mari, Draevyn, D.J, Carlo. One special niece, Crystal Scott. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A walk-through visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
