MR. CLYDE EDWARD COVINGTON, 80, of Prescott, Arkansas. He passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, in Prescott, Ark. He was born on March 12, 1927, in Murfreesboro, Ark. to Carl Edward and Dora Mae Willett Covington. He was a retired law enforcement officer from the Alcohol & Beverage Control, having retired in 1995; former Nevada County Sheriff from 1972 - 1978, former Prescott Police Officer, and former Navy Shore Patrolman. He was a member of Prescott Church of Christ and Navy Veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 60 years) Maxine Dulaney Covington, Prescott, Ark. TWO DAUGHTERS: Dorothy Mae Ingram and Gerald, San Diego, Calif.Debra Jean Pate, Prescott, Ark. ONE BROTHER: Doyle Glen Dovington, Little Rock, Ark. THREE SISTERS: Sylvia Turner, Montgomery, TX Faye Preston, Prescott, Ark. Joyce Campbell, Bryant, Ark. THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Shannon Mouser, Emmet, Ark. Angela Gammage, Prescott, Ark. Ryan Pate, Dierks, Ark. And Seven Great-Grandchildren And Several Nieces And Nephews. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Sun., December 23, 2007, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, Ark., with Mr. Ken Turner, Mr. Bill Dulaney, Mr. James Cox, Mr. Wilburn Wesson officiating.
