Mr. D L Faught, 85 of Denton, Texas formerly of Hope, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Bonham, Texas. He was born in Hempstead County on, Monday, December 7, 1925 to Chester and Cortelia Foster Faught. Mr. Faught was retired from the Cotton Belt Railroad with 35+ years of employment, a Veteran of World War II serving in the US Marine Corp. He was very active in the Texana Living History Association and was a former member of the VFW in Plano, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mattie Dale May, (whom he married on December 4, 1946), a brother, C L Faught and a Grandson; Sam Faught. Mr. Faught is survived by; Two Sons: Garry Michael Faught and wife, LaJuana-Denton, TX Larry Dale Faught-Denton, TX One Brother: Cecil Ray Faught--Texarkana, TX One Sister: Murlene Faught-Hope, AR Two Grandsons; Danny and Mike Faught and Three Great-grandchildren, other relative and friends. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Sunday, February 13, 2011 in the Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow in Harmory Cemetery, Sutton. Reverend Eric Barbaree will officiate. His nephews and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
