Demetra K Martin, age 73 of Hope, passed away June 28 in Texarkana. She was born on June 16, 1951, to David James Odell and Dora Purtell Odell. She graduated from Spring Hill School and later went to a technical school. Demetra was a Phlebotomist at Wadley Hospital for 21 years, but her hobbies included fishing and glass blowing.

Demetra was preceded in death by her parents, son William Ray Jr, brother Jimmy Odell, and sister Nancy.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Martin, son David Martin, sisters Becky, Belinda and Theresa Lynn and granddaughter Dusty Faulkner.

Graveside service will be Friday, July 19th, 10am at Central Cemetery.
