Obituary

Mr. Don Tye, age 77 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home.  Mr. Tye was born on October 20, 1938 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Harlan T. and Marie Carlton Tye.  He was a retired self-employed construction worker, a member of A Place of Meeting Church in Hope.  Mr. Tye was a very devoted Christian man that truly loved his Lord, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that will be greatly missed. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He had a great affection for the flowers that he grew.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Marie Tye, and a brother; Joe Tye.

Survivors include his wife, CeCe Tye of Hope, three sons: Terry Tye of Laneburg, Tate McDonald, wife, Kandi of Texarkana, TX and Mason Moses of Hope, seven daughters: Carrie Arterbury, husband, Wayne of Hope, Sherrie Niemeyer, husband, Steve of Rosston, Merri Moten of Rosston, Jerri Post, husband, Rick of Texarkana, TX, Paige Pace, husband, Derek of Texarkana, TX, DeDee Enqvist, husband, Toby of Chicago, IL and Kortnee Redden, husband, Denny of Texarkana, TX, a brother; Bob Tye, wife, Sue Ella of Hope, two sisters: Jeanette Spencer of Eldorado, AR and Linda Haynie of Arkadelphia,  21 grandchildren: Mark and David Arterbury, Kirbi Poindexter, Katlin Tye, Kansas Tye, Krissi Niemeyer, Melissa Nelson, Zach Niemeyer, Alexandria Morrison, Tyler Moten, Jenifer Dundee, Jared Dundee, Kevin Post, Madalyn  and Jolee McDonald, Jackson and Lilly Pace, Celeigh, Grayson and Hudson Redden and Elliot Enqvist and seventeen (17) great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, June 10, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main St. Hope, AR

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathaniel Crane and Bro. Jerry T. Crane officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery at Sutton. Arrangements are by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
