Mr. Donald Ray "Poppa Don" Bazzelle, age 74 of Gurdon, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born September 8, 1938, in Rosston, Arkansas, to Casberry and Bessie Simpson Bazzelle. He was a retired Mill Operator, with Firestone Building Products in Prescott and a member of the Bethel AME Church in the Oak Grove Community. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Curtis Wayne Bazzelle, and a daughter, Margaret Antionette. Mr. Bazzelle is survived by his wife Gloria Bradshaw Bazzelle, four sons, Donald Ray Bazzelle, Jr. and wife Diana of Rosston, Michael Bazzelle of Hope, Julian Marks of Gurdon, Kevin Marks of Gurdon, four daughters, Virginia Moore and husband Kenneth of Hope, Bessie Perkins and husband Danny of Fort Worth, Texas, Teresa Shepard and husband Charles of Gurdon, Tina Johnson and husband Leon of Arkadelphia, a brother, Paul Bazzelle and wife Pearl of Romulus, Michigan, twenty-three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a niece Daphne Baines, numerous other family members, and a host of friends. Wake will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott, Funeral service for Mr. Bazzelle will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 7, at Bethel AME Church in the Oak Grove Community.
