Mrs. Donna Smith, age 91 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born June 9, 1930 to Luther and Manola Edington Rash, in Bald Knob, AR.

Donna taught middle school for over 27 years, until retiring. She loved teaching and had a passion for molding her students into young adults. She cared for her students, considering them her children. She was a member of teacher sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma. Donna was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Hope, where she worked tirelessly with Calvin by her side. She loved to sing in the church choir and Friday music club. She also enjoyed spending time with family and working in her flower garden. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Smith; brothers Lewis Rash, Hudson Rash and Alvis Rash and sisters Neva Johnston, Vera Barker, and Glenda Rudder.

Those left to cherish her memory are: son, David Smith of Hope, AR; two daughters Kathy Celestine, husband Tom of Houston, TX, Ann Stephenson of Cave City, AR; three grandchildren, Matthew Stephenson, Austin and Autumn Celestine; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers: James Robinson, James Jones, Bill Rudder, Jr., Mike Dugger, Dr. Jon Leim, Gary Johnson, and Matthew Stephenson.

Visitation will be 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday April 1, 2022 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 S Main, Hope, AR 71801.

Funeral service will be 6:00pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Brazzel/Oakcrest, with Rev. Keenan Williams officiating. Burial to follow 2:00pm Saturday April 2, 2022, at Shady Grove Cemetery, Bald Knob, Arkansas.
