Mrs. Donnie Ann Stroud, age 76 of Perrytown, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, November 4, 2013 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1937, in Prescott, Arkansas, to Edgar A. and Nettie Lee Hasley Parks. She was a nurse's aid retired from Dr. Jim McKenzie's office, a homemaker and a member of Landmark MBA Church in Hope. Mrs. Stroud was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and loved her Lord. She was an avid Razorback fan, and was a true friend to all who knew her. She was known for sending cards to family and friends to uplift spirits of those she knew. Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Christopher R. Stroud and two brothers, Edmund C. Parks and Arnold W. Parks. Mrs. Stroud is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Richard Stroud of Perrytown, two sons, Richard Stroud and wife Carol of DeAnn, Arkansas, Gregory Stroud and wife Allison of Hoover, Alabama, a daughter, Kelly Holybee of Perrytown, two grandchildren, Alex Stroud and Caroline Stroud of Hoover, Alabama, numerous other family members and a host of friends. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 6, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Dierksen Hospice, 4425 Jefferson Avenue, Suite 104, Texarkana, Arkansas 71854. Funeral service for Mrs. Stroud will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. James Taylor officiating.
