Mr. Doris Edgar Avery, 93, of Taylor, Michigan, (Formerly of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Mon., July 9, 2007, in Regency Health Care Center, Taylor, Michigan. He was born in Prescott, Ark. on June 7, 1914 to Edgar Vinson and Nellie Mae Harris Avery. He served with the United States Army Air Corp and retired with 23 years of service with the Air Force and also retired from Arkla Gas Co. Village in Emmet, Ark. He was a member of the Church of Christ and former secretary of the Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Reatha Watson Avery; by his second wife, Anna May Avery; one brother and one sister. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: TWO DAUGHTERS: Suzette Pitman and Robert, Taylor, Michigan; Ann McBride and Dennis, Washington, Ark. ONE BROTHER: Alton Avery and Dorothy, El Dorado, Ark.
